How To Use

Step-by-Step

Inspired by makeup, Insta Contouring uses cleverly-placed lightening to frame and accentuate your clients’ features.

Preparation

Application

Step 1: Section the hair as shown in Fig. 1, creating a zig zag section around the crown.

Step 2: Isolate Section B and work in Section A, starting from behind the ear at the nape of the neck (Fig. 2).

Step 3: Take a deep weave and place on the Instant Highlights Aluminium Foil.

Step 4: Generously and evenly apply Mix 1, starting 3cm away for the scalp. Cover with another foil.

Step 5: Continue this sectioning pattern to the centre part, reducing the width of the meche as you work towards the front.

Step 6: Repeat on the opposite side, mirroring the foil placement (there should be 10 meches in total).

Step 7: Starting at the first meche placed in the foil, iron in a constant downward motion for a maximum of 30 seconds.

Step 8: Repeat Step 7 until the last meche has been ironed.

Step 9: Rinse thoroughly.

Step 10: If required, tone with Mix 2 for up to 10 minutes, or until the desired shade is achieved. Rinse thoroughly.

Step 11: Shampoo and condition as normal. Use Serie Expert Vitamino Shampoo & Conditioner to illuminate and preserve your client’s colour.

Bring your clients’ blonde back to life by reviving and brightening grown-out ombré or balayage.

Application

Step 2: Starting at the front of Section A, take a diagonal meche and place in Instant Highlights Aluminium Foil (Fig. 2).

Step 3: Generously and evenly apply Mix 1, blending 3cm from the root area.

Step 4: Continue working towards the crown until there are 6 meches in foil and repeat on the other side.

Step 5: Working in Section B, at the apex of the triangle weave a fine meche and place in foil.

Step 6: Repeat for up to 3 meches as indicated in Fig. 3 (there should be no more than 15 meches in total).

Step 5: Repeat on the opposite side, mirroring the foil placement (there should be 10 foils in total).

Step 6: Starting at the first meche placed in the foil, iron in a constant downward motion for a maximum of 30 seconds.

Step 7: Repeat Step 6 until the last meche has been ironed.

Step 8: Rinse thoroughly.
