By activating the Shine Shot™ mode, the airflow will stop and the styling plates will gently heat to the optimum temperature of 185°C.
Ideal for straightening, waving or curling after drying, or for a style change on second day dry hair, the ghd duet hair styler injects hair with 2x more shine and 3.5x more hair alignment*** for a smooth, instantly frizz-free finish. It’s important to remember that the Shine Shot is for use on dry hair only. If the hair is still damp, pass the duet through on wet to style mode until fully dry.

How to use ghd duet style
Here for some style tips? You’ve come to the right place. Simplify your styling routine with these 4 steps to going from wet to styled in no time!
Step 1: Wet to Style
Ensure hair is towel dried and switch on the ghd duet hair styler. After a few seconds, you’ll hear the fan ramp up as it heats to the optimum low styling temperature for wet hair. Once the light stops flashing and the styler starts to beep, you’re good to go!
Step 2: Divide and Dry
Divide the hair into sections. Taking one section at a time, place the ghd duet style at the roots and hold for 2-3 seconds. Slowly and steadily glide down the hair towards the ends, repeating the process if necessary until the hair is completely dry.
Step 3: Shine Shot
Once the hair is fully dry, activate the Shine Shot for a boost of smoothness and shine. Hold the button down for 4 seconds until you hear a beep.
Step 4: Finished Look
After the 4 seconds, the fan will stop and the plate temperature will increase to 185°C. Once the lights stop flashing, the Shine Shot function is ready for use and you can straighten, curl, or wave to your heart’s content!
