Top Tips for Transitioning to New Koleston Perfect Me+

By now, the news that Wella’s Koleston formula has experienced an expert innovation should be no secret, but just what makes it different and how can you manage the transitional period?

We’re here to answer any Koleston concerns to ensure you know how to reap the benefits of Wella’s best ever permanent hair colour!

Old vs. New

The main point of difference between old Koleston Perfect and new Koleston Perfect Me+ lies in the breakthrough Me+ technology. Designed to replace extreme sensitisers, PPD and PTD, this new colour molecule helps to reduce the risk of developing a new allergy to hair colour by up to 60 times.*

Alongside Pure Balance Technology which actively reduces free radicals and provides even better protection for the hair bonds during the colouring process, the updated formula promises reduced breakage, even colour results with balanced, natural depth, long-lasting true-to-tone colour and higher, longer lasting shine, all with 100% grey coverage!

*Although the risk of developing a new allergy is reduced, there remains a risk of allergic reaction that can be severe. Always perform an Allergy Alert Test 48 hours before each colouration. If your client has ever experienced an allergic reaction to hair colourants, you should not colour.

How to use

Other than these formula improvements and the addition of a new 4% Welloxon Developer, new Koleston Perfect Me+ works in the same way as the classic permanent colour collection. Absolutely no need for habit change, this colour range follows the same numbering system, same shade families and the same mixing ratios as the previous collection. The only changes you’ll notice are some improvements in usage detailed below:

Mixing Ratios

When working with new Koleston Perfect Me+, you can stick to the same trusty mixing ratios. See Wella’s recommended mixing ratios below for a refresh:
